Simple, complicated, aren't we all, all of that and more? How now to differentiate myself and be completely honest, and transparent? How now to attract the one that I want to find, so that there can be a we, and not just she and I?
I am ready to do this and more. I continue to do the work that is necessary to be the best that I can be, right now. I want someone who is as tough and scared, and wants the best for herself, nothing less. I want to work out what being we means in this time of blurred boundaries, and meanings of being unique, and still part of a we that works to make us each, the best we can be!
I have no illusions that I am still not where I want to be , and still revert to old behavior, and I am changing. I want a partner that is willing to be transparent, and tough, and knows her own limits, and is willing to call them out, and push beyond them, sometimes, and sometimes not because they are what helps her be her.
I want to be proud to be with her, and humbled at the same time. I to want her to be proud to be with me, and willing to hold her ground, when she knows that she has hit her limits, and is willing to call me out on my stuff, and I her, and still love each other.
I am clear that I have no idea of how to do all this, and that is the journey of discovery. We are no longer young punks, or middle aged veterans. We are redefining who and what we are with every breath, and every keystroke. I'd rather do it in person, in communion, that over any medium. Are you up for the challenge? I sure hope so!
